Gender Neutral Baby GoGo
When my son was born, my daughter received a baby doll from her grandma, and that doll was her favorite possession for the longest time. She just loved cuddling that doll, walking the baby in it’s carriage, and even “feeding” her doll.
I think that just about any child can benefit from having a baby doll to cuddle and nurture, so I really love the Baby GoGo doll, which is gender neutral (no ruffles, or traditionally girlish accessories). My daughter, who I thought was past the doll phase, immediately picked up the Baby GoGo and has loved it since. As you probably know, we’ve recently adopted a much healthier diet in my household, and I’m trying to avoid most processed foods. Must Have Products for Visiting the Pool With Baby
Are you taking your little one to the beach or pool? To have a successful trip, you need to make sure you pack just the right essentials. Two products that I would definitely recommend bringing is a high-quality sunscreen, and a nice warm towel. Here are two I suggest:
Hooded Towel by Bebe Au Lait: Known for their gorgeous nursing covers, Bebe Au Lait also produces absorbent towels lined with their signature prints. It’s a great gift idea for a new mom, and is essential for keeping your little one warm after a dip in the water.
There are eleven different prints available, and while they are all beautiful, my favorite is the marmont.
MD Moms Baby Silk Sunscreen Towelettes: You probably already know that sunscreen is a necessity for children of all ages, but applying sunscreen on kids is a royal pain. I love these towelettes because I don’t have to guess how much to use, and it’s so easy to apply.

Must Have Products for Visiting the Pool With Baby
Reed Diffusers with No Alcohol or DPG
Surely, you’ve heard of reed diffusers, THE hottest trend in home fragrance these days. I’ve seen them in just about every place selling home products, from Walmart and Target to Nordstorm and Neimans.
As you may assume, quality does differ from brand to brand, and the best brands doesn’t have alcohol and DPG in their formulation. Those additives make the scent break down quicker, and can clog the reeds preventing the scent from diffusing.
I had the chance to try out a variety of products from The Diffusery, a company that was recently featured in Better Homes and Gardens. I like all three, but prefer the subtle scents in the bedrooms and the sweeter ones in the kitchen/dining room area. Reed Diffusers with No Alcohol or DPG
New Toys Inspired by Disney Pixar’s Toy Story 3
Surely, you’ve heard that Toy Story 3 is now in theaters (can you believe the original was released in 1995 – while I was still in college?). Disney Consumer Products has introduced some fabulous new products to go along with the new movie – including some of the new story lines and characters.
We had the chance to try out two of the new toys – a set of Action Links, and the new Operation game, featuring Buzz Lightyear.
Action Links are a brand-new toy (one set is pictured above). The sets can be used individually, or you can combine them to make larger sets. Each offers figures and fun stunts, and the more you put together, the more stunts you’ll see.
The Operation game is just like the original, but with Buzz Lightyear. Instead of the traditional body parts (remember the funny bone?), you’ll remove pieces of the intergalactic space ranger. It’s fun to see this toy from my childhood reimagined for a new generation.
The new Toy Story 3 toys are available in mass merchandisers and toy stores.

It’s almost summer, and grilling season is in full force! I love grilling in the summer, because it’s quick, cost-effective, and doesn’t require us putting on the stove in the heat!

Summer Bridge Activity Workbooks
An Easier (and Cheaper) Way to Do Laundry
I recently had to buy a new washer and dryer, so now we have a high-efficiency machine rather than a standard machine. The installer told me to think about detergent in terms of “teaspoons, not cups”, and I know that too much soap can harm the machine. I was intrigued by the Robby Wash ball because it can be used for up to a year, without detergent. However, I was also concerned about whether or not it would actually wash the clothes.
The Robby comes in a few different formats – the blue one for hot and cold temperatures and the fuchsia one for color fabrics washed in cold water. I received the blue one, which is best for regular laundry loads.
I have used the Robby several times, and have been pleased with the way my laundry has come out. It doesn’t work for heavy stains – you’ll need to use the enclosed stain stick to pre-treat any stains. But luckily, I haven’t needed to use the stain stick yet.
The Robby was recently introduced in the US, so it is difficult to find except on their Web site. It’s priced at $32.95, which seems pricey but is a good deal if you can get 12 months usage!
