Stonyfield Yogurt: Organics and Healthy Eating
Do you ever have the kind of life changing event that occurs after hearing things you probably already knew but never had substantiated? That is exactly what happened to me two weeks ago at the Stonyfield YoBaby Meals mom blogger event at the Children’s Museum in Boston.
I remember those old “you are what you eat….from your head down to your feet” commercials from years ago, and in general, I pretty much follow that principle. I don’t like to have Doritos, Fritos, or other processed foods in the house, but while I don’t buy them, I sure don’t mind downing half a box of Oreos if I were to happen upon one.
Gary Hirshberg, one of the contributors of the documentary and book Food, Inc, and CEO-Yo of Stonyfield Farms, spoke to us about the benefits of eating organic. He explained that most things sold as food today really aren’t food – instead they are additives and fillers – and that organics have much less toxins, including carcinogens. In addition, organics (particularly milk) tend to have more nutrients, including Omega-3s.
My kids ate Stonyfield YoBaby yogurts as one of their first foods, and we still buy YoKid every week for them. I’m proud that I’ve done that, as I know they are safe and nutritious. Baby Quasar Light Therapy for Acne and Anti-Aging Treatments
I’m one of those lucky 30-somethings who not only has to deal with anti-aging, but also acne. Lucky me! I’m always concerned about what to use on my face, because most products that treat acne dry the skin, and most products that treat anti-aging are very creamy.
I heard about Baby Quasar products a while ago, and finally decided to purchase both the Baby Quasar, for smoothing skin, tightening wrinkles, fading scars, and reducing inflammation, and the Baby Blue, which uses blue light to kill acne bacteria.
